How to measure attenuation in optical fiber
Attenuation in optical fiber is measured using an optical power meter and a light source. The light source sends a signal through the fiber, and the power meter measures the output signal strength at the other end. The difference between input and output power, usually measured in decibels (dB), indicates attenuation.
