The sleeves are meant to protect the splice joint and exposed fiber after the splice has been completed. Before contraction, the transparent outer layer facilitates the detection of whether the fiber joint is correctly connected, so that the fiber can be assembled simply and safely, and provides protection. After contraction, the optical transmission characteristics of the fiber are maintained, and the strength and protection of the fiber joint are provided. Easy operation and reliable performance prevent optical fiber damage during installation.
